We have some very exciting news that we have been waiting to share with all of you. Earlier this month, we welcomed our new Executive Chef to the team, Chef Terry Port. He has joined our team for many reasons, most notably his love for the bounty of the Okanagan and his quick connection with Neil and the team. We can assure you this was a big decision, considered thoughtfully over a considerable amount of time. We are confident Chef Terry, working with our leadership team, will elevate the experience in our restaurants while honouring the history and guests that have brought us to this moment.
Chef Terry Port has just over 25 years of experience working in restaurants. He has been an instructor for culinary schools, Executive Chef responsible for several high end and high-volume dining facilities, owner of a catering company, and has spent time in the corporate world looking after product and recipe testing. A Certified Chef de Cuisine, Red Seal Baker, and Teacher, his accumulation of experience has imparted an extensive technical skillset, complemented by a character that is hardworking and team oriented.
“I am truly excited to be here as I absolutely love the Kelowna area and really admire how Neil runs these incredible businesses.” Says Chef Terry. “I’m very quickly finding out why so many staff have been with him for 5, 10 and 15 years +. Just an incredible man and establishments. I’m super excited to be part of the team as Executive Chef. There are a lot of great staff here, too many to name each, but I have give a shout out to our Chef at the Bistro, Chef Geoff Molloy. Really looking forward to working on menus together, building a strong relationship and teams!!”
