19-Okanagan-Grill-Bar-Praneil-RaibHe’s pretty much done it all in the restaurant industry on both the sides of the Canada/US border. Praneil was a bartender at an Earl’s in Vancouver. He learned the art of cooking while working under Chris Mills, Executive Chef and VP of Joey Restaurant Group. Chef Mills has the distinction of competing on the original Iron Chef Japan against Chef Morimoto, an honour for any chef.

Next, Praneil opened Joey Lake Union in Seattle Washington before returning to Vancouver to open Joey Broadway. Praneil has also been Head Chef at Cucina Cucina in Redmond Washington and Chef de Cuisine at Terrafina Resto at Hester Creek Winery in Oliver.

When he’s not cooking food, he’s catching it with a fishing rod or he’s pretending to be a golfer.
